Monroe County Building Permit Allocation System
On July 13, 1992, Monroe County adopted an ordance (#016-1992) limiting the number of building permits that can be issued each year for the construction of new dwelling units. This ordinance also establishes an allocation or point system to allocate the limited number of permits. The following information is an attempt to answer the most fequently asked questions about the ordinace. However, the ordinance should be reffered to for specific questions and the actual language.
